The Flame of Love during their vacations

Here’s what Christine and I accomplished during our vacation. It was hard work because we had to find a place to stay every night. This was during the construction industry’s vacation period in the last two weeks of July 2025.

I remember one evening when it was difficult to find a vacant room at a motel. We arrived around 8:00 p.m., and the lady told us: “Yes, there’s one left, and it’s number 13.” It was a beautiful spot, because a little further down toward the riverbank, there was a chapel and the three statues of the Children of Fatima on the grounds: Lucia, Jacinta, and Francisco Marto. The statue of the Virgin Mary was located higher up and could be reached by a simple set of stairs. Truly charming! We prayed, and just before leaving, Christine placed her red “Flame of Love” rosary around Francisco’s neck.

When the little evening miracle happens, it’s always the right place to spend the night. One evening during the trip, it was 11 p.m. and we hadn’t found anything. That’s when Christine said: “We need to get off the main road”—and sure enough, we found one.

This short testimony is meant to encourage you to look for these little "Street Library" that can be found all over the villages, now in Quebec and elsewhere in the world. Usually, we’re invited to take a book and leave one in its place. But we leave a few behind by inserting prayer cards into each booklet.

We’re happy to have done our small part for our Mother Mary and, in this way, to help others discover the Flame of Love from Her Immaculate Heart.
